Accreditations
In Mexico, the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA) verifies the competence of laboratories to the receiver of the services can be confident that the measurements were made correctly according to national rules.
Analytical Services Unit has the M-130 accreditation for calibrating scales from 5 g. to 50 kgs. And accreditation SA-0066-012 / 12 for the detection of genetically modified maize.
Similarly, the Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification AC certifies that the laboratory meets the guidelines of the ISO 9001: 2008.
Nowadays, the Laboratory of Molecular Biology USAM participates in the national laboratory network composed of various public research institutions, over more than three years, have collaborated sharing expertise and proven experience and capabilities of their groups working through national level studies for the validation of analytical methodologies of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) through a joint effort of coordination between CIBIOGEM, the National Metrology Center (CENAM) and Testing Laboratories of the Competent Authorities.
